The First Love
THE FIRST LOVE
The First Love explores the enduring bond between mother and daughter through silhouette, texture and subtle symbolism.
Set against a softly layered field of beige and white acrylic, the black-outlined silhouettes of a mother and daughter form the central presence of the composition. Their closeness creates a quiet sense of intimacy, connection and belonging.
A small number of sculpted texture flowers emerge from the surface, introducing delicate three-dimensional elements against the predominantly flat composition. Their tactile presence adds another layer of symbolism representing tenderness, growth and the enduring nature of love.
The palette allows the relationship between the two figures to remain at the heart of the work, while the contrast of black, white and beige creates a timeless visual language.
The First Love is a tribute to the bond that begins before words, the first connection, the first sense of belonging, and a love that continues to evolve.
