Serene II explores balance, rhythm and the quiet beauty of structured form.

Constructed using Vigour Noir’s signature Canvas-on-Canvas technique, an additional arch-shaped canvas creates the architectural foundation of the work. The surface is finished in layered beige tones, creating a soft, warm backdrop with subtle variations in texture.

Across the centre, precisely formed sculptural steps emerge in a refined sequence. Built through texture and finished in pearl and gold, each step creates a measured progression across the surface, with light catching the raised forms and shifting gently between the two finishes.

The ordered geometry of the steps contrasts with the softness of the surrounding beige, creating a composition that feels architectural yet serene.

Serene II finds beauty in repetition, proportion and quiet progression where structure becomes a form of stillness.
