Gold I explores the contrast between depth and luminosity through a deliberately minimal composition.

A smooth black acrylic ground provides a deep, uninterrupted foundation, allowing two sculptural gold formations to become the focal point of the work. Created with three-dimensional texture and finished in gold, the forms introduce texture, dimension and movement without overwhelming the surface.

Where Golden II embraces a more expansive distribution of gold, Gold I distils the same material language into a quieter composition. The limited placement of the gold creates greater visual space, allowing each sculptural form to hold its own presence.

The work is an exercise in material contrast smooth against textured, black against gold, depth against light.
